Puppy Info
Feed your puppy his/her food moistened with hot water at least 3 times a day, as much as can be eaten in 20-30 minutes. Allow puppies to eat as much as they want during their feeding times. Once the puppy is 5 months old, you can switch to feeding twice a day. It is not recommended that boxers be fed only once a day. This will prevent them from eating to much food at one feeding, which can cause "bloat" or "torsion" (the overly full stomach flips over, causing loss of circulation to the stomach, a life-threatening condition).
Please contact your vet for your puppies continued health care schedule.
Your puppy's tail was docked, dewclaws were removed and a microchip was implanted beween the shoulder blades (feels like a grain of rice under the skin) at 3 days old. Regular worming was done at 2, 4 & 6 weeks old. Your puppy received it's first vaccination at 6 weeks old.

When training your puppy, you have to remember that they will always eliminate soon after a meal or a drink of water. If you are on a feeding schedule, take the puppy to the designated potty area after the feeding or after a drink and say "go potty" or whatever you are comfortable with using each time they go potty. It is good to reward them with treats as they eliminate in the place you have designated for them. They will learn that eliminating in this the designated area brings a reward.
Potty Training
CrateTraining
It is good for your puppy or adult dog to be crate trained. It keeps your pet out of trouble and also helps puppies potty train. Dogs do not want to soil their sleeping area and will learn to wait until they are out to go potty. The crate should be big enough for the puppy or dog to lie down in, sit up in, stretch out in and stand up in. Please note that a puppy should only be in the crate for about one hour for each month of age, plus one hour.
